The Queen Theater officially opened its doors for the first time in nearly 50 years Friday. The grand opening of the new “World Cafe Live at the Queen” at the restored building kicked off with music and dignitaries, including Governor Jack Markell (D-Delaware), Senator Tom Carper (D- Delaware) and Wilmington Mayor James Baker (D) at a morning ribbon cutting that packed the venue’s “Upstairs Live” restaurant/small performance area.
