Delaware’s U.S. Senate campaign has earned tremendous local and national media attention, but not much of it has focused on the day to day campaigning by Democrat Chris Coons and Republican Christine O’Donnell.  DFM News contributor Patrick Mairs caught up with both candidates recently with an eye toward getting a feel for each candidate’s campaign style.

As Republican Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell opened her new campaign headquarters in Brandywine Hundred earlier this month, she spoke with DFM News about a campaign that’s drawn the focus of the political world. O’Donnell gives her thoughts on the enthusiasm that’s propelled her the GOP nomination. She also responds to some of the allegations she’s faced in the national media. Also, several O’Donnell and Tea Party backers discuss what is driving them to support the O’Donnell campaign.
